  • Do you provide cleaning services in my area?
    We provide cleaning services in Melbourne's North Eastern Suburbs. Most of our Cleaners cover multiple suburbs and are happy to travel within a 10km radius or 20 Minutes one way for a regular clean. For a Deep or Vacate clean we can travel further so please enquire and we will let you know. If you’re still unsure, just submit an online enquiry form making sure you complete the correct suburb, state & postcode of your property and we’ll let you know if we cover that area.
  • Do you have an hourly rate?
    Uptempo Cleaners does not operate on an hourly rate, but provides a complete, fixed cost cleaning package service. This means your house will always be cleaned to the highest standard and not be limited by set hours. We usually recommend for those getting regular cleans that we complete an initial deep clean at 2x what the estimated regular hours would be. Then we will drop down the clean back to regular hours. This will provide you with a much better clean straight up as we will have had more time to get to all the extras & also it will help the cleaner better maintain it week to week for you with an optimised schedule.
  • Do I have to pre-buy for cleans in bulk or sign a contract for a minimum amount of time?
    No, Uptempo Cleaners operates on a simple Hourly Rate & pay per clean basis. Additionally, there are no contracts to sign or minimum periods of cleaning.
  • What payment methods do you accept?
    At present all Uptempo Cleaners we also provide instant payment via our Xero invoices we send out either direct debit (using the Gocardless service) or you can pay by Credit/Debit Card (using the Stripe service). For those who do not want to worry about managing when to pay, you can also set up autopay, particularly handy for a weekly or fortnightly clean. This will be offered on the initial invoice, if you didnt take it up and would like to for future cleans then please let us know and we can make an appropriate arrangements to get it set up for you. Of course if you do not prefer those and just want to direct debit from your bank rather then paying via the invoice you can also do that. So we have plenty of options to meet your needs.   • What about holidays?
    We'll call well in advance of any those nationally recognized holidays to arrange for a better day and time. Speaking of the holidays, be sure to let us know if you are ever in need of extra cleaning in advance of family get together, dinner or party - we're here to help.
  • What do you mean by 'Additional rooms'?
    Uptempo Cleaners assumes every property has at least: 1 x living room 1 x dining room 1 x kitchen 1 x Laundry area (some properties) - (for smaller apartments without one, this is accounted for in your cleaning estimate) Additional rooms, would be rooms not listed above, for example: Formal lounge/dining room Theatre room Study (or study nook) Games room Activity room Sleep out Or other such similar areas Please include all of these rooms as additional rooms in your online enquiry, so that we may provide a more accurate estimate for your cleaning services.
  • Do you a have a cleaning package designed for a ‘Home Open’ or similar event at my house?
    With your property being furnished Uptempo Cleaners would recommend we provide our Deep Clean package to offer a detailed cleaning service, we can also supplement additional items to this cleaning package such as: window cleaning (inside, outside & tracks), interior oven cleaning and professional carpet steam cleaning services (Coming Soon).
  • Do you have a specific cleaning package for when I move into a property?
    If your property is vacant and unfurnished, we would recommend you let Uptempo Cleaners perform our vacate cleaning package, while aimed at people moving out of a property, the cleaning package is tailored for empty properties and to provide detailed cleaning in all areas of the property. With your property being furnished Uptempo Cleaners would recommend we provide our Deep Clean package to offer a detailed cleaning service, we can also supplement additional items to this cleaning package such as: window cleaning (inside, outside & tracks), interior oven cleaning and professional carpet steam cleaning services (Coming Soon).
  • Can I change what is included in the cleaning package?
    With a regular clean you can prioritise what gets more attention or less, our Uptempo Cleaners will then work to the schedule that meets your needs. With a deep or vacate clean, Uptempo Cleaners operates on a complete and whole cleaning package basis specific to the needs of the particular property or real estate agent. Our cleaners carry out a personal quotation, they may offer to customise one of our cleaning packages to your individual needs. However, we reserve the right to have a minimum level of service at a property. This could include: Minimum Service Duration: There might be a minimum number of 2 hours or specific tasks that need to be performed during each visit. Service Scope: Certain essential tasks or areas must be included in the service, ensuring that the property meets a basic standard of cleanliness. Frequency of Service: There might be a requirement for how often the service should be performed to maintain the desired level of cleanliness. (Determined by your budget however)
  • What time will my cleaner arrive at my property?
    Your Uptempo Cleaner will contact you prior to the date of the clean to finalise the exact start time, service to be carried out and access arrangements with yourself directly. If they are unable to reach you immediately, they will leave a message with their contact details and will try again to contact you. Please ensure you check your messages and reply to our cleaners to ensure they can finalise your booking time.
  • Do Uptempo Cleaners bring everything to carry out the cleaning?
    Uptempo Cleaners can bring everything from the vacuum cleaner, mop, buckets, clothes and all other cleaning materials. We do require running hot water, safe useable electrical outlets & working lights at every property we provide a cleaning service for. Alternatively you can supply your own cleaning products if desired.
  • Do you use any commercial or industrial strength cleaning products?
    No, Uptempo Cleaners always uses standard domestic cleaning products. with an emphasis on eco friendly green products. Our cleaners do not carry harsher chemicals or products than those found in your local supermarket.
  • Are you ok to provide cleaning while my pet is at home?
    Uptempo Cleaners are happy to work around friendly household pets. We do ask if you have an overly excitable or aggressive pet to please secure them in a safe location at the property or remove them from the property for the duration of the cleaning service. This will ensure we can work uninterrupted resulting in the best clean possible.
  • Will you use my cleaning products if I prefer it?
    Uptempo Cleaners can, however if they don’t achieve the results we expect or can deliver using our products, the clean may not be covered by our work guarantee.
  • Do you unscrew light fittings and change light globes?
    Uptempo Cleaners do not carry any tools and will not use tools to remove light fittings to clean them. Our Cleaners also do not carry spare light globes.
  • I have high ceilings, will you still be able to clean up there?
    Uptempo Cleaners do not carry ladders except standard step ladders nor will they use ladders during their cleaning service. If they feel they can safely perform cleaning with an extendable reach tool they will do so. This may effect the cleaning of light fittings, ceiling fans & windows at certain properties.
  • Will your move furniture at my property to clean behind it?
    Uptempo Cleaners cannot move heavy or large furniture items (e.g. couches, chairs, tables, white goods) to clean behind or under them due to insurance restrictions. If you would like to move these items prior or during the cleaning service, our cleaners will clean behind them for you.
  • Do you provide cleaning of the outside area of my property?
    Uptempo Cleaners primarily focuses on interior domestic cleaning services at your property. Upon request we can provide general sweeping of paved areas outside, for heavily marked or stained paved areas (e.g. oil on drive or carport) we would need to carry out personal quotation (where a cleaner visit the property) for professional quotation for pressure cleaning services.(Coming Soon) Uptempo Cleaners does not currently provide any gardening services or pool cleaning services.
  • Do you provide cleaning of blinds or curtains?
    At present, Uptempo Cleaners does not undertake any curtain cleaning services Blind cleaning or dusting may be available upon request.
  • How long will the cleaning take?
    Uptempo Cleaners operates on a cleaning package basis rather than charging by the hour and working to a fixed time limit. As such our cleaners will stay for as long as it takes to complete the cleaning service you have booked, they will work as efficiently as possible while ensuring the cleaning is completed to the highest possible standard.
  • What if I can't be home when your team members arrive to clean?
    No problem. All of Uptempo cleaners are police cleared, fully insured and used to working alone in a property. Please ensure that you have confirmed access arrangements with your cleaners prior to their arrival if you do intend to not be present for the cleaning service. Many of our clients decide to provide us with a key and a code if they have an alarm system for their home. All keys are securely marked and controlled to maintain your and security. This arrangement works very well and allows us to access your home to clean at the appropriate day and time. If you do not provide us a key, and you are not home to let our team members in at their scheduled cleaning time, a lock-out charge may be applied.
  • What do you mean by your cleaners have a ‘Current Police Clearance’?
    All of Uptempo cleaners have a valid state or national issued police clearance that was issued less than 4 years ago so you know our Uptempo Cleaners and safe and trustworthy. Upon request all Uptempo Cleaners will provide you with a copy of their police clearance. If you wish to confirm the validity of the police clearance, please consult your state’s police website or non-emergency contact number.
  • Will I have the same cleaner each time?
    Uptempo Cleaners will always try to keep the same cleaner for you on each and every visit, however there can be unforeseen circumstances that prevent this from happening as such we will make arrangements to ensure your cleaning service is still covered in that instance. If Cleaners are on holiday and no one else operates in that area we will ensure downtime is kept to a minimum, but ultimately as the saying goes "if you have a good cleaner then look after them and they will look after you". If our cleaner is off for more then 3 weeks then on return they will provide an additional 30 minutes - 1hr of cleaning beyond there standard, this will give an initial boost to your homes cleanliness and quickly restore it back to maintainence.
  • What is meant by your cleaners are ‘Fully insured’?
    All Uptempo Cleaners are covered by Public Liability insurance valid up to $5,000,000 in Australia, covering accidental damage & accidents to third parties.
  • Do you guarantee I’ll get my bond money back?
    Uptempo Cleaners cannot account for all aspects that your real estate agent or owner might withhold the bond for. We do guarantee a professional clean, if your real estate agent or owner are unhappy with any aspect of the cleaning as listed in our vacate cleaning package, then we will return to amend those items.   • How do you make sure things go right?
    You'll be pleased to know that all our team members and supervisors are trained and experienced in using the latest, safest, and most effective methods for cleaning homes - like yours!
  • What if something gets broken?
    While our team members are trained on proper cleaning procedures and pride themselves in being careful if anything were to get broken as the result of something one of our team members did while cleaning - we want to step up to make it right! That means trying to as quickly as possible to either repair or replace it - and because all our team members are insured, we would file a claim whenever necessary to help resolve the situation.
